Monsoon EV Driving and Charging Tips for India

Rain calls for ordinary driving caution and careful use of properly maintained charging equipment.

Electric vehicles are engineered for normal wet-weather operation, but monsoon driving still calls for sensible precautions. Reduce speed on waterlogged roads and avoid driving through deep water where it is unsafe for any vehicle.

Use charging stations and cables as intended. Do not use damaged equipment, and follow the vehicle and charger manufacturer's instructions if a connector or charge port appears contaminated or damaged.

A pre-trip check of route conditions and available charging stops is particularly valuable during periods of heavy rain.
