Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about EV charging stations and electric-car trips in India.
How do I find EV charging stations near me?
Open the ChargerOnMap map, allow location access when prompted, and use the map or search controls to view nearby charging stations. Check the station details before you travel.
How can I find EV chargers along my route in India?
Use the trip planner to set a source and destination. You can then explore charger locations near your route and add charging stops to help plan the journey.
What is the difference between AC and DC EV charging?
AC charging is commonly used at home, workplaces and longer parking stops. DC charging is generally intended for faster top-ups during road trips. Charging speed also depends on your vehicle and battery state.
How do I filter chargers by connector type?
Use the Connector Types filter to select the connector supported by your vehicle, such as CCS1, CCS2 or Wall. Only chargers with the selected connector are shown.
What does the Charger Output filter do?
The Charger Output filter looks for the selected kW rating in the station name, helping you locate chargers listed with outputs such as 30 kW, 60 kW or 120 kW.
Does ChargerOnMap show charger availability in real time?
Station information can change, including operating hours, access and availability. Always confirm details with the charging provider or at the station before relying on it for a journey.
Can I report an incorrect charger location or detail?
Yes. Please use the Contact page and include the station name, location, issue and any helpful supporting information so the information can be reviewed.
