MG EV Battery Warranty in India: Rules and Conditions to Check
MG battery cover varies by vehicle, model year and ownership programme, so the vehicle-specific warranty guide is the document that matters.
Do not assume that one MG EV warranty applies to every MG model. The Comet EV, Windsor EV and ZS EV can have different battery, vehicle, roadside-assistance and extended-warranty terms depending on model year and purchase programme.
For example, MG's Comet launch material described an 8-year or 1.2-lakh-km battery-pack warranty. Other MG products and Battery-as-a-Service plans have their own terms. The warranty certificate, owner manual and current service page for your vehicle are the correct references.
Before delivery, obtain the written battery warranty, confirm whether capacity loss has a defined threshold, and ask how accident damage, water ingress, modifications, servicing and a change of ownership are handled. Keep scheduled-service invoices and contact an authorised MG workshop before any high-voltage repair.
