Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S: When Battery Warranty Can Be Void

Warranty is not automatic protection from every type of damage: follow the official guide and use authorised service for high-voltage work.

Mahindra's Warranty & Service Guides contain the final exclusions. The owner manuals also warn that repair, servicing or modification outside an authorised Mahindra service centre may void warranty for affected systems. This is especially important for high-voltage, charging and electrical work.

The XEV 9S manual specifically says not to use the high-voltage battery as a stationary power source; it says this will void warranty. The manual also warns against prolonged 100% state of charge, persistent deep discharge and unauthorised welding or modification.

Avoid treating social-media advice as a warranty rule. Use approved charging equipment, protect the underside from impact, follow the scheduled service plan and get any damage assessed promptly. For a specific event, ask Mahindra in writing whether the affected system remains covered.
